Next time you press the buttons on a KSV Snackbreak Vending Machine and are delivered another chocolate treat, you are adding to the £3.5billion spent on chocolate in the UK every year. Market research by Mintel has shown that based on 2008 figures the UK spent the equivalent to £57 per head on chocolate. Germany spent £3.4billion on chocolate in the same period but there are 20 million more of them!

2008 saw an increase of 4% in UK chocolate sales despite the recession, after an impressive 7.4% in 2007. This year it is estimated that sales will increase a further 5.8% again at a time when many are looking to cut back on treats and luxuries. Mintel further estimate that by 2013 we will be spending an amazing £4.4billion on those chocolate treats. I just wonder how much will be via KSV Vending Machines!
