The past 18 months has seen Mars Drinks working hard with the Rainforest Alliance to achieve certification for a number of Flavia teas and coffees. Earlier this year KSV were pleased to announce to their customers that three coffees in the Flavia range namely Rich Roast, Colombia, and Smooth Roast along with the popular English Breakfast Tea had all achieved the Rainforest Alliance Seal of Approval.

Flavia have now confirmed that a further two of their great tasting teas have also achieved the Rainforest Alliance Seal of Approval. Earl Grey and Royal Blend tea join the products mentioned above to now give a total of six popular Flavia drink selections certified by the Rainforest Alliance. Mars also continue to support the Brighter Tomorrow at origin scheme in support of the growers who produce the beans used for Flavia Kenya coffee, and by 2010 Mars Drinks plan to source 30% of its drinks from certified sustainable sources.

The Rainforest Alliance are a not for profit organisation that works to conserve biodiversity and to ensure sustainable livelihoods by transforming business and land use practices and also consumer behaviour.
