I have come across some fairly strange food tastes over the years, not least when my
Wife was pregnant and would raid the fridge for all sorts of sweet and sour combinations! Today I bring you news of a particularly unusual idea all the way from New Zealand.
I guess for a country that introduced the world to Bungee Jumping, Zorbing and high adrenaline Jet Boat rides as “fun” activities and has a huge livestock sector, the development of meat flavoured chocolate is perhaps not such a surprise!
New Zealand chocolate expert Hanna Frederick has recently perfected a venison flavoured chocolate truffle. Produced to look like small sausages they leave a salami type aftertaste apparently, and are proving surprisingly popular, and are being served to attendees of a New Zealand Meat Industry Conference as a starter!
The taste really doesn’t appeal to me at all but I have thought of the ideal product description……Chocolaters!
